Job DESCRIPTION:

A Dubai-based growing IT services consultancy company is looking for a young and passionate web designer who is willing to work in a fast-paced environment. A relatively young incumbent, who is full of ambition to learn and prove his mettle. Forward thinker and extremely proactive. You will be working on the cutting-edge web design technologies to deliver amazing web designs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developing responsive and adaptive web pages and layouts using the latest trends, tools and techniques in the field of web design.
• Creating graphics, multimedia and design templates for web sites
• Testing new technologies for inclusion in web site design
• Creating web design solutions from inception to completion
• Social Media Integration (facebook apps, twitter cards etc.)
• Developing and implementing successful SEO strategy for the Client's websites

 

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

Must KNOW:

• Front-end web programming languages include. (XHTML, CSS3, Sass, Javascript, JQuery, AJAX, AngularJs, ExtJs)
• Working experience with Responsive CSS frameworks (Bootstrap, Less, Gumby, groundwork etc.)
• Photoshop – All versions
• Adobe Creative Suite
• CorelDraw – Version X3 to X7
• SEO Techniques

WILL MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE:

• Knows PHP or any other back-end server programming language
• PhoneGap, Sancha Touch framework
• Flash and Animation scripting
• Network and basic PC troubleshooting
• Software Installations
• Good command/experience working on:

o    LINUX

o    MAC OS

o    WINDOWS Platform

MUST HAVE CHARACTERISTICS:

• Innovative and Analytic mind.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in both technical and business environments.
• Presentable to the client – should be able to handle and understand the client requirements and to transform them into the expressive designs.
• Social Media savvy.
• Excellent communication skills of English and preferably Arabic.

 EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree – from a reputed university, preferably in computer technology and website design
• Formal education in design

 AGE & EXPERIENCE:

• 25 – 27 years of age

Ideally, we are looking for someone who has strong flare for web and web designs. Innovation is the key to this position though we expect fresh out of university or a couple of years of experience in the web design.
