Job Description
Participate in requirements analysis and develop SharePoint 2013 solutions for all tiers of application: user interface, middle-tier business components, database layer, etc. Be a key contributor to innovation and build proof of concept examples that can be leveraged across current and future software release versions.
Responsibilities include:
- Architecture and design of SharePoint 2013 implementations using best practices.
- Implementation and customization of SharePoint-based solutions
- SharePoint 2013 development to extend and augment the SharePoint platform
- Design and development of Business Intelligence dashboards
- Design / Develop Software Modules for E-Services / complex Workflows Environments
- Translate requirements to software component and systems
- Perform Testing / Debugging
- Create Documentation / Conduct Application Maintenance
- Provide consultation on SharePoint best practices, standards, governance, and information management.
- Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing effective procedures and systems requirements that meet business requirements.
- Work with the team by assisting them in the customization, and definition of a SharePoint websites.
- Develop knowledge & skills of SharePoint Central Admin functionality, Farm Level setup, site configuration, Collaboration, Portals, Enterprise Search, & backups/restores.
- Coordinate with IT Project team during installation and deployment of hardware and software on the development, test and production environment.
- Significant development experience using Microsoft .NET technologies (using C#).
- Hands-on experience: development of web parts, lists, document libraries, Event Handlers and custom workflow.
- Create secure web-based applications and web services utilizing Microsoft WCF
- Develop and support custom applications built on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server Platform 2013.
- Perform technical troubleshooting in a wide range of different customer situations.
- Client-Side Scripting (JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, Silver light CSOM - Client-Side Object Model, RESTful API Services in SharePoint Object Model
- MS SQL Server 2012 Database development
Skills & Requirements
- 4 to 7 years of progressive SharePoint experience with at least 1 year professional SharePoint 2013 development experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience programming in .NET, C#, ASP.NET ,T-SQL and CAML
- Experience using JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, AJAX, Client Object Model, REST, Client side rendering, SharePoint Apps, and Service Oriented Architecture
- Experience with SharePoint Designer, Event receivers, timer jobs, Web Parts, and workflow creation.
- Build, configure and integrate 2013 SharePoint websites
- Implement style sheets for web parts, pages and master pages
- Optimize pages for peak performance
- Design and develop user interface elements in SharePoint
- Write, test and deploy code using ASP.net, C#, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
- Manage software artifacts using Team Foundation Server
- Analyze and troubleshoot problems within SharePoint environment
- Experience using FireBug, Fiddler, Chrome Dev Tools, or other page inspection technologies.
