Position :IT Project Coordinator – ERP

Location : Abu Dhabi, UAE

Objective:

Responsible for the incorporation of program and software project management best practices, as well as effective communication and collaboration with project and program managers across the Institute. Administer and continuously improve the ICT project portfolio management process, play a significant role in division-wide knowledge management, and manages software projects.

Candidate Specifications

 

·         Aggressive learner, strong personality and sense of ownership, service organization intellectual capability and team/collaborative mentality are non-negotiable requirements

·         Experience with web application software and large software development projects and business applications, including internal, outsourced, and consulting.

·         Minimum of 4 years of Project Management, including full life cycle systems development, Systems Integration, midrange development, requirements management, systems conversion, and vendor management.

·         Proven experience for implementing and managing ORACLE ERP (HCM, Financials and Procurement) applications is a must.

·         Experience with PMI methodology. Experience in a PMO office is preferable.

·         Understands return on investment (ROI) and ensures it is achieved

·         Facilitate change, Trainings programs and Delivers executive-level presentations

·         Experience in working together as a team and managing projects solo.

·         Bachelor's degree or equivalent years' experience.

·         Must have excellent verbal and written English communication and presentation skills.

 

Principal Responsibilities :

·         Incorporates software project management best practices in department, as well as effective communication and collaboration with MI ICT Department.

·         Administer and manage selected software projects and interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users and vendors.

·         Ensures adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables.

·         Ensure adherence to MI business application architectural guidelines, principles and standards in all project milestones and deliverables.

·         Responsible for the ongoing management, enhancement, integration, training and support of designated software projects.

·         Coordinate with the software suppliers for support issues, fixing any malfunction or additional requirements.

·         Consult and analyze end-user's business requirements, prepare functional specifications for a proposed application and evaluate ready-made software packages.

·         Contextually adapts behavior and methodologies to the people and issues involved in particular projects to ensure maximum productivity.

·         Demonstrates a high level of commitment to projects even during difficult or uncertain times. Works to resolve ambiguity and remove roadblocks to keep the project moving forward.

·         Acts assertively (not aggressively) in complex high-pressure situations.

·         Establishes and maintains schedules, drives activities, identifies risks and dependencies and develops mitigation strategies, works with internal development team, and when necessary external partners.

·         Provide direct assistance to the Program / Project Managers to implement and manage all Project Management methods and processes for a complicated collection of projects.

·         Maintain Repository: All Projects / Programs (Proposals, Work Plans, Status Reports, and Changes).

·         Support activities for the preparation of the project charter, Project Management Plan and the scope so that all the requirements are captured without missing any.

 Critical Skills/experience required

 ·         Deep knowledge and Solid Experience with ORACLE ERP eBusiness Suite application administration.

·         Experience with Oracle ERP project implementations is a must.

·         Experience with administrative processes for HR, Procurement and Finance.

·         Must have experience working with and developing design and requirements documents and process description.

·         Must have strong working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle processes and how to operate under structured project management.

·         Manage from concept to implementation

·         Ensure adherence to quality standards

·         Review project deliverables

·         Communicate with executive(s) and team members regarding status of specific projects (written and verbal communication)

·         Enable adoption/delivery of solution

·         Understands return on investment (ROI) and ensures it is achieved

·         Manages to contractual aspects of vendor relationships

·         Ability to apply innovative concepts

·         Delivers executive-level presentations

·         Facilitates change

·         Leads through values-based vision.
