Linux Server Administrator (multiple positions) in Lahore

Job Description

We are looking for experienced Linux Server Admin with profound knowledge of Linux and Windows servers. You must have had extensive experience of technical support and should strong in English communication.

Job Responsibilities
Responsible for Linux server administration and technical support operations. This includes but not limited to implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, security and usage monitoring, etc...
Responsible for customer support
Responsible to maintain web hosting services, Linux servers to support the business operations and end users. 

Experience in web hosting industry and data center is a big plus.

Please note: Candidates from Lahore or neighboring cities are preferred

Job Specification

Should be a problem solver and have analytically thinking abilities
Candidates with knowledge of Hosting Control Panels like cPanel , WHM , Plesk etc... are preferred.
Experienced Linux server Admin
Knowledge of WHMCS and other ticket management systems
Experienced on Linux shell, experience of shell scripting is a plus
Knowledge of web technologies, platforms and applications, search engines, DNS/ bind, Email, Web server, monitoring/ NMS, clustering, rDNS, email clients outlook/ thunderbird
Experience of virtualization technologies, xen, xenserver, vmware, hyper-v, SolusVM
Should capable to manage customer VPS and dedicated servers and should able to troubleshoot the reported issues independently.
Experience on computer operating systems, Linux Knowledge is mandatory
Should able to maintain databases and server backups Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience of Linux server administration
Experience in web hosting industry and Linux certification is a plus.

Strong Team Player, should able to work in team environment

Reporting to Team Lead/ Manager

STRONG LINUX EXPERIENCE AND ENGLISH COMMUNICATION SKILL IS PREREQUISITE FOR THIS POSITION.
