Key Responsibilities
• Be proactive and interact with relevant departments to preserve the desired QoS and GOS
• Extraction of daily data for performance monitoring, analysis and reporting of all Core & VAS nodes (e.g. HLR, IN, MSC, MSS, SMSC, MMSC, USSDs etc.)
• Network KPI performance monitoring (SMS SR, CSSR, HOSR, LUSR, PSR, , Availability etc.) through statistical tools
• Identify causes for performance degradation at Core & VAS end and suggest corrective actions
• Plan and carry out parameter test cases (CS and PS); benchmark them and provide feasibility for implementation
• Recommend changes of standard parameters based on the outcome of the test cases
• Prepare the benchmark reports after major activities in the network
• Prepare the benchmark reports after major events in the country (eg Eids etc)
o Ensure that a plan has been made to cater for the traffic rise on the event
o Analyze the Network Performance during the Event and suggest the corrective/preventive actions for better performance in the future
• Maintain daily, weekly, quarterly and yearly trends of reports and raw counters
• Maintain trends of newly integrated nodes in the network
• Pre implementation evaluation and post implementation analysis of new features in network
• Identify the causes of degradation in network performance and escalate them to the concerned teams and follow-up till their resolution
• In case of regular occurrence of a cause of Network degradation follow up with the concerned team for root cause analysis and preventive steps to prevent degradations due to that cause in future
• Take a leading role in preserving and improving the QoS
• Follow up of Core & VAS KPIs to ensure that the trend remains in positive direction
