Microsoft CRM Support Consultant

We are looking for a Support technician with strong Microsoft Windows (Server, vista, xp) and Office experience plus supporting Microsoft Dynamics CRM Software. You will be working within a help desk environment, dealing with technical issues and queries for clients running Microsoft Dynamics CRM on a desktop and on server machines. You will provide 1st line support to clients', complete tickets in accordance with the SLA and help desk procedures and answer customer queries relating to Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

Candidates should have at least a year's experience of working in a support or helpdesk role, with at least 6 months CRM experience, together with great knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office, and an excellent telephone manner.

Role Summary
  • Installing, supporting and maintaining new server hardware and software infrastructure.
  • Managing email, anti spam and virus protection.
  • Setting up user accounts, permissions and passwords.
  • Monitoring network usage.
  • Ensuring the most cost-effective and efficient use of servers.
  • Suggesting and providing IT solutions to business and management problems.
  • Ensuring that all IT equipment complies with industry standards.
  • Support the Sales team in the preparation of bids and ITT responses for larger projects.
  • Support the Sales team in pre-sales meetings and presentations in order to represent and explain the delivery approach.
  • Supervising other staff, such as help desk technicians.
  • Working closely with other departments/organisations and collaborating with other IT staff.
  • Planning and implementing future IT developments and undertaking project work.
Technical Expertise

Server experience, ideally using all of the following:

  • Windows Server 2003 / 2008
  • Windows Small Business Server 2003 / 2008
  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 / 2008
  • Windows XP / Vista
  • Active Directory
  • Microsoft Office 2003 / 2007
  • Windows Virtual PC
  • Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server
  • Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2008

Experience of supporting Microsoft Dynamics CRM

  • Client for Microsoft Outlook
  • Micrsoft SQL Reporting Services
  • IIS 6.0 / 7.0

Experience of the following would also be an advantage:

  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Good Phone Manner
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
